Paul Huszar is the CEO, President, and majority owner of VetCor, LLC, a water damage and mold restoration company focused on hiring veterans, and recently recognized as the Bright House Networks Start-up of the Year in the Tampa Bay Region. VetCor operates throughout south Florida with a vision of even greater expansion. Paul retired from 23 years of active duty military service including four combat tours in Iraq, one unaccompanied tour in Korea, and operational deployments to Thailand, Bolivia, Honduras, Panama, and Haiti. He and his family moved to South Tampa upon his retirement, and he began his tenure as President of VetCor on December 9, 2013
In this show, learn how Paul made the transition from Military life to entrepreneurship. While many veterans struggle with a return to the workforce, Paul has risen to the challenge and will inspire those struggling with transition.
Paul goes into depth about some of the industry pitfalls that consumers need to be aware of when their home or business is hit with a water/mold disaster such as paying attention to the “assignment of benefits” clause in the contract with the service provider and how that can cost a homeowner or business owner substantially if they do not fully understand the terms. Also hurricane season just began and Paul goes over some of the basics to help protect your home in the event of a hurricane and we also learn a great deal about the NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) and how homeowners need to be aware of possible premium changes in the future and how flood insurance differs from a water event in the home caused by items such as a faulty dishwasher or leaking washer supply line.
